I called this restaurant to ask a simple question about whether they had curd rice because my father has stomach issues and can only eat certain foods. Instead of politely saying they didn’t have it, the person who answered the phone responded rudely and said, “You can make it at your home.” There was no need for that kind of attitude. A simple “Sorry, we don’t have it” would have been completely fine. Customer service is just as important as the food, and speaking disrespectfully to potential customers is unacceptable. If this is how customers are treated over a simple phone inquiry, it leaves a very poor impression. I hope the management addresses this and trains their staff to communicate more professionally and respectfully.

We had very worst experience from this restaurant. Came to Santa Monica beach from other state and have ordered food over online for take out. They took almost more than one hour from committed pickup time. Out of two samosa , one was missing in the package and other one was literally cooked with spoiled potatoes . The chicken biryani was really prepared with just adding chicken pieces on the actual veg biryanis (that had peaces and vegetables) and so they called it as chicken biryani.

The samosas and butter chicken was delicious when paired with the naan and rice! The people there were incredibly kind and always had a smile on their faces. Definitely planning on coming back!

The food is consistently quality Indian food. Family owned business family recipes.The portions are good size. Service is very kind and quaint, as I stated family owned. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice. They do mostly take out these days so the restaurants usually nice quiet, not busy or noisy inside. The lighting is great with low lit almost romantic ambience. Great mango lassis! The exotic hummus is to DIE FOR. Most addictive hummus I have ever had! The only CON is food takes a while here. So sit back and enjoy conversation in the meantime. 25- 30 minutes wait time when seemingly not busy is totally normal here. So don’t come in a rush!

BEST Indian food in LA by far! From being greeted at the door to the amazing food and service this place was 5 stars all the way. I’m half Indian myself and think my mum makes the best Indian food ever, but this place gives her a run for her money! Talking about prices, it was super reasonable coming in at under $50 for a couple of mains and an appetizer. Star of the menu was the tandoori chicken and the garlic naan. I’ve never had better garlic naan in my life, it was soft and fluffy but also crunchy and not too chewy - I was seriously amazed and had to force myself to stop eating (but ordered some more to take home 😅). Anyway, love this place, love Rita the owner and cannot wait to come back!!
